Eileen Catherine (Oliver) Rothaupt, 87, of Mechanicsburg , and formerly of Albany, NY , died at Harrisburg Hospital on Sunday, September 30, 2012. She was born in Albany, on Saturday, September 26, 1925 daughter of the late Simeon P. Oliver and Mary Josephine (Driscoll) Oliver.  Eileen was the widow of Eugene William Rothaupt whom she married on April 12, 1947.

A caring and generous woman, she was devoted to her family and cherished every opportunity to visit them. Loved and remembered for her feisty spirit, she was young at heart and proud of her Irish heritage. Eileen was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Mechanicsburg.

Eileen’s survivors include her loving children, Nancy R. Johnson and her husband Richard of Kiawah Island, SC, Michael E. Rothaupt of West Chester, Daniel J. Rothaupt and his wife Kathleen of East Lyme, CT, Eileen M. Bangert and her husband Carl of West Chester; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to join Eileen’s family at her viewing on Thursday, October 4, 2012, from 9:00 to 11:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Immediately following the viewing, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 310 Hertzler Drive, Mechanicsburg, with Rev. Msgr. William J. King, V.G., J.C.D. as celebrant.

Burial will immediately follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mechanicsburg. Eileen’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at her church following the burial.
