E. Jane “Janie” Tasek, 90, of Camp Hill , died at Messiah Village on Friday, December 14, 2012. She was born in Elizabethtown on Tuesday, April 25, 1922, daughter of the late Millicent DeArman. Janie was the widow of John Conrad Tasek to whom she was married on October 2, 1948 and who died in 2002.
Janie retired from Stephenson’s Flowers in Camp Hill, after 25 years of service working as a floral designer. She was a member of Jehovah Witness Congregation of Camp Hill. She had a strong and faithful relationship with her church and her neighbors. Janie was a meticulous homemaker who enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Janie’s survivors include her loving son, Earl M. Henry and his wife Joann of Mechanicsburg; two brothers, Samuel Triest and his wife Dorothy of Etters, Paul D. Triest and his wife Faye of Abbottstown; and several nieces and nephews. Among those preceding Janie in death are her son, John C. Tasek, Jr.; and her brother, Clair Triest.
All are welcome to join Janie’s family on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with burial to follow in Rolling Green Memorial Park in Camp Hill. Cremation was private.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Messiah Village Endowment Fund , 100 Mt. Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, or Jehovah Witness Congregation , 2 Willow Mill Park Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
