Eldon Doner Winger, 65, of Mechanicsburg , died at home on Saturday, February 1, 2014.  He was born in Harrisburg, on Tuesday, April 6, 1948, son of the late Mark Winger and Luella Marion (Doner) Winger.

Eldon’s survivors include his loving sons, Jason Winger and his wife Eliza of Ramsey, NJ, Jefferey Winger and his wife Jessica of Middletown; three granddaughters, Maya Winger, Lucy Winger, Ania Winger; and three sisters, Kathy Stuebing and her husband Rich of Mechanicsburg, Joanne Winger of Hummelstown, and Linnea Duvall of CA.

Eldon graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1966 and from Penn State University class of 1973.  He retired from Faulkner Toyota as a service manager.  Eldon served in the US Air Force and was a member of The Mechanicsburg Club .  He was active with the Republican Party.  Eldon was a lifelong Penn State fan who also enjoyed golf and his Harley Davidson. He loved listening to classic country music especially Johnny Cash. Eldon will always be remembered for the joy he got from laughing and making other people laugh.

All are welcome to join Eldon’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Friday, February 7, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.  Cremation was private.  Eldon’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at The Mechanicsburg Club , 333 Heinz Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, following the gathering.
