Eleanor May (Eley) Ashwell

Eleanor May (Eley) Ashwell, age 96, of Palm Bay, FL, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, died at Bethesda on Turkey Creek, on Sunday, August 6, 2023.  Eleanor was born on Thursday, May 5, 1927, to the late Walter N. Eley and Lavenela (Zimmerman) Eley. Eleanor was the widow of Ralph Edward Ashwell Jr., whom she married on July 9, 1949, and who died on May 9, 2015.  In addition to her parents and husband, Eleanor is preceded in death by her son: Stephen “Steve” Ashwell; and her three siblings: Walter; Gail; and Sherry.  

Eleanor’s survivors include her son: Jeffrey “Jeff” Keith Ashwell of Palm Bay, FL; her granddaughter: Shawn O’Brine and her husband, Michael, of Dillsburg; her two great-grandchildren: Kai and Kiera; and her two sisters: Betty Moore and Eris Dobbs.  

All are welcome to join Eleanor’s family at her graveside service and burial in Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill beginning at 9:30 a.m.
