Eloise Marie (Daniels) Sobolewski, age 84, of Mechanicsburg, died at home and surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 1, 2014. She was born on Tuesday, December 3, 1929 in Olney, IL to the late Edwin Grant Daniels and Mary (Iles) Daniels. Eloise was the widow of Robert Edwin Sobolewski, whom she married on September 3, 1955, and who died on October 15, 1996. In addition to her parents and husband, Eloise is preceded in death by her son, Douglas Sobolewski, and her brother, George Daniels.
Eloise’s survivors include her son, Grant Sobolewski and his wife, Jennifer, of Gettysburg; her grandchildren: Benjamin Sobolewski and Robert Sobolewski, both of Mechanicsburg, her step- grandchildren, Ethan Carbaugh and Logan Carbaugh, both of Gettysburg; her sister, Joyce Rogers, of Owensboro, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Eloise retired from Fleet Material Support Office in Mechanicsburg. She was a lifelong member of New Testament Christian Churches in Illinois, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. Eloise and her husband, Robert, were charter members of two local churches.
Services and burial in Rolling Green Memorial Park will be private and at the convenience of the family.
