Emily Marie Harrison Roznowski
A Bright and Shining Light -
Emily Marie Harrison Roznowski, age 22, of Camp Hill, died on Saturday, December 3, 2016, after relapsing during her brave fight against the disease of heroin addiction. Emily was a bright and shining light with a beautiful smile who battled the inner demons of anxiety and low self esteem. She leaves behind a beautiful nine month old daughter, Carter Harrison Gens, a heartbroken younger sister, Diane Elizabeth Harrison Roznowski, and a devastated mother, Joanne Harrison Clough. At last Emily is at peace, she struggles no more. The disease of addiction thrives in darkness and must be defeated in the light. She is missed more than words can ever express.
In addition to her daughter, sister, and mother, Emily is survived by her maternal grandmother, Suzanne D. Clough; her uncle, John Finley Clough, III, and his wife, Marian L. Clough; her two aunts: Suzanne Clough Bell and her husband, Craig M. Bell, and Ellen Clough Devine; and numerous cousins and friends.
Emily graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 2012 and attended Harrisburg Area Community College. She worked at Arooga’s Draft House & Sports Bar in Harrisburg where she was loved by customers and coworkers alike. More than anything, Emily was a proud and loving mother and a loyal sister and daughter. She was rediscovering the beauty of life as she grew with her daughter, Carter. This past year was undoubtedly one of the best years of Emily’s life. She was so proud to have introduced her daughter to Eagles Mere, her families’ retreat and a place that held special significance; in the car she purchased on her own and on a two week trip she planned herself. Her sister, Diane, remembers Emily's building the most wonderful sand castles on their family trips while being surrounded and loved by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
