Englis “Inky” Jane (Perich) Wertz
A Gifted Pianist -
Englis “Inky” Jane (Perich) Wertz, age 85, of Camp Hill, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, went home to be with her husband peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2018. Born on Sunday, July 17, 1932 in Knox, Englis was the daughter of the late John Perich and Harriett (Kahle) Perich. Englis was the widow of John Louis Wertz, whom she married on June 28, 1958, and who died on December 20, 1997.
Englis’ survivors include her three children: Eric John Wertz and his wife, Trudy, of Mechanicsburg, Lisa Lynn Dull and her husband, Randy, of St. Peters, MO, Mark Lewis Wertz of Mechanicsburg; her two grandsons: James Dull and Joshua Dull of Missouri; her sister, Shirley Roberts and her husband, Clarence, of Annapolis, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
Englis graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1952. She worked at the New Cumberland Army Depot as a secretary for many years. Englis was a very talented pianist and she shared that gift with others by teaching private music lessons. She also loved cooking, playing scratch-off lottery tickets, and going to the casino. Above all else, Englis loved taking care of her family and making sure they always had what they needed.
All are welcome to join Englis’ family at her viewing on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until time of blessing service at 9:45 a.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Augustine Joseph officiating. Burial will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. Honored to be pallbearers are: Eric Wertz and Mark Wertz.
