Eric Wertz

Eric John Wertz, age 64, of Mechanicsburg, died on Monday, February 3, 2025. Eric was born on Saturday, November 26, 1960, in Harrisburg to the late John Louis Wertz and Englis Jane (Perich) Wertz. 

Eric’s survivors include his wife of 33 years, Trudy Jo (Strasbaugh) Wertz; his two siblings: Mark Lewis Wertz of Mechanicsburg and Lisa Lynn Dull of St. Peters, Missouri; his two nephews: Joshua Dull and James Dull; and his beloved canine companions: Sadie and Katie.

Eric graduated from Mechanicsburg Senior High School as part of the class of 1979. He retired from Factory Motor Parts in 2024, after many years of service working as a parts delivery driver. Eric loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed blues music and owned fifteen guitars. Eric will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have been in his life. 

All are welcome to join Eric’s family at his celebration of life open house on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 1:30 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral & Cremation). Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots. Cremation was private.
