Fayette Jean (Forney) Tschop
Devoted Wife and Mother -
Fayette Jean (Forney) Tschop, age 87, of Dillsburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2020. Fayette was born on Sunday, February 19, 1933, in Hummelstown to the late Wilson Joseph Forney and Pauline Frances (Alleman) Forney. Fayette was the widow of Thomas “Tom” Eugene Tschop, whom she married on April 16, 1950, and who died on March 7, 1986. In addition to her parents and husband, Fayette is preceded in death by her great-great-grandson Gabriel Fonzerelli; and her sister Delores Wenner.
Fayette’s survivors include her two daughters: Susan Kaye Pistone and husband Franklin of Dillsburg, PA, Kaye Anne Tschop of Nashville, TN; her three grandchildren: Gene Van Auken and wife Jeanetta, Constance Yukica and husband Stanley, Steven Pannebaker and wife Tamra; her eight great-grandchildren: Thomas Van Auken, Nicole Van Auken, Timothy Van Auken, Hallie Bowersox, Kelsey Bahn, Aaron Beidel, Jr., Rebecca Pannebaker, Corey Pannebaker; her ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Fayette was a member of First United Church of Christ in Harrisburg and active in the Red Hat Society. She was an avid reader who enjoyed all genres. She liked to create and paint ceramics, and even had her own kiln. Fayette was a devoted wife for nearly 36 years, and her family will miss her dearly.
Fayette’s family will be remembering her life privately. Burial in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Enola will be at the convenience of the family.
