Frank Gregory Kenski Jr., age 95, of Mechanicsburg, died on Monday, December 30, 2024. Frank was born on Thursday, January 17, 1929, in Frank, PA to the late Frank Gregory Kenski, Sr. and Ida (Pazzelli) Kenski Fellabaum. Frank was the widower of Roberta (Flynn) Kenski, whom he married on February 14, 1950, and who died on December 4, 2022. In addition to his parents and wife, Frank is preceded in death by his six siblings: Julius Philip Kenski, Jan David Kenski, Robert Fellabaum, George "Tony" W. Fellabaum, James Fellabaum, and Carrie Fellabaum-Brown.
Frank’s survivors include his three sons: Keith Stephen Kenski and wife Terri, of Carlisle, Frank “Greg” Gregory Kenski III and wife Rebecca Sue, of Mechanicsburg, Larry Michael Kenski and wife Sherry, of Locust Grove, VA; and his four grandchildren: Erica Kenski, Curtis Kenski, Frank Gregory Kenski IV, and Benjamin David Kenski.
Frank graduated from McKeesport High School and from Duquesne University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Frank worked for the Federal Government for many years working as an auditor. Frank was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, he served in capacity Deacon, and maintained active involvement with the Knights of Columbus through memberships in JW Shannahan 4th Degree Assembly 917, Grand Knight of Council 4068, and a charter member of St. Joseph Council 12788. Frank was ordained as a Deacon on May 19, 1979 in Arlington, Virginia and served as Chaplain at Dauphin County Prison and a Deacon at Holy Spirit Hospital. He became a Master Gardner through Penn State Extension and enjoyed vegetable gardening. Frank played a role in educating multiple young people through Eddie the Eagle Gun Safety Program and 4H.
All are welcome to join Frank’s family at his viewing on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 a.m. all at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 East Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Bishop Ronald Gainor celebrating. Burial will follow the mass in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
