Gary Lloyd Singer, Sr., 68, of Carlisle and formerly of Camp Hill died at Ellen Memorial Nursing Home on Friday, February 17, 2012. He was born in Harrisburg on Saturday, January 15, 1944 son of the late Foster Silas and Pauline Arlene (Frederick) Singer.
Gary was a gentle and caring man who was loved by anyone who took the time to know him. He had a loving heart and selflessly cared for his mother during the last 15 years of her life. Aleta, Gary’s sister, feels, “Blessed to have had him as a brother.”
Gary’s survivors include his loving children: Gary L. Singer Jr. of Carlisle, Jeffrey Singer of Carlisle, Michael Ford of Carlisle, Wendy Ford of Camp Hill; three grandchildren: LeAnn Hoffman, Donovan Winters, Brittany Singer; two brothers: Donald C. Singer of East Waterford, James F. Singer of Florida; one sister: Aleta Ballou of Honesdale; and Gary’s former spouse: Mary Singer of Carlisle.
All are welcome to join Gary’s family at a Gathering of Family and Friends on Friday, March 2, 2012, from 1:45 until time of service at 2:00 at St. John’s Cemetery , 4605 East Trindle Road, Mechanicsburg, PA, 17050 with Pastor Alan Echard officiating. Cremation was private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will immediately follow at the cemetery.
