Gennaro “Jim” Mollica, 81, of Mechanicsburg , died at Manor Care Health Services, Camp Hill on Friday, August 2, 2013. He was born in Allegheny, on Saturday, September 5, 1931, son of the late Peter Mollica and Kate (Cozzo) Mollica. Jim was the widower of Helen Marie (Divelbliss) Mollica to whom he was married for 50 years.
Jim’s survivors include his loving children, Charles “Jimmy” Mollica and his wife Joy of Mechanicsburg, Patricia Powell and her husband Rich of Liverpool; his grandchildren, Brandi Mollica, Chad Putt, Heather Putt, Nash Mollica; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim retired from Fry Communications in Mechanicsburg, after 25 years of service working as a mechanic. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God in Dillsburg. Jim was a NASCAR fan and a Jeff Gordon fanatic. If it had Jeff Gordon’s picture on it he collected it. He was also a sports fan and liked following the Eagles.
All are welcome to join Jim’s family at his viewing on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 9:30 to 10:30 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, immediately followed by a graveside service at 11:00 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery , Enola with Pastor Zack Wilt officiating.
