George Ernest Lampman, III, age 76, of Mechanicsburg, PA, and formerly of California, joined his parents and loved ones in Heaven on Thursday, November 22, 2018.  George was born on Friday, April 24, 1942 in Sacramento, CA to the late George Ernest Lampman, II and Katheryn Elizabeth (Siddles) Lampman.  In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his two faithful canine buddies: Pippin and Sally.

George’s survivors include his wife, Arlene Joan (Wagner) Neumyer-Lampman, of whom he spent 19 years together with; his two children: Paul Lampman of Marysville, PA, Suellen Cartwright of Fairfield, CA; his two step-daughters: Shirlene Klinger and her husband, Jay, of Harrisburg, PA, Patricia Gottshall of Mechanicsburg, PA; his sister, Claudia Tarzania and her husband, Albert, of Gridley, CA; and his beloved canine companion, Leah.

George was veteran of the United States Army and very proudly served in the Vietnam War.  He graduated from Sacramento State University with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish.  George retired from the California Department of Motor Vehicles, after over 30 years of service working as a supervisor.  He liked to read, write, and listen to music by his favorite group, The Gipsy Kings.  George also enjoyed watching movies, television, and football, especially the San Francisco 49ers.  He loved taking in the nature around him in his backyard by listening to the birds and looking at all the flowers.  It was not unlike him to go out to eat each day with his wife, Arlene, which the couple very much enjoyed and looked forward to.  George will be remembered for his sense of humor and good-natured disposition.

George’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Cremation was private.
