George “Mike” Michael Brown
Loved Snapper’s Prime Rib -
George “Mike” Michael Brown, 67, of Mechanicsburg , and formerly of Spring City, PA, died peacefully at Forest Park Health Center in Carlisle on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. He was born in Portsmouth, OH, on Sunday, January 27, 1946, son of the late Orlin Raymond Brown and Mina Evelena (Schuler) Brown. Mike was the husband of Patti Lynn (Orr) Brown whom he married on March 17, 1976, and who survives him. Mike survivor’s also include his son, Jason Brown and his wife Nikki and their sons Cole, Seth and Luke all of Mechanicsburg; and his two sisters. Among those preceding Mike in death are his two brothers and his sister.
Mike attended Moore’s Mountain Church in Mechanicsburg. An ordained minister, Mike gave wonderful sermons. He was an incredibly talented handyman. Among his loves were baseball, football, NASCAR and college basketball all of which were known as his “Four Season.” Almost an obsession, Mike never missed an opportunity to feast on Snapper’s Prime Rib. He deeply loved and was loved by his family and found great joy in his grandchildren.
All are welcome to join Mike’s family at his Gathering of Family & Friends on Monday, April 22, 2013, from 1:00 until time of service at 2:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Pastor Gavin Whitcomb, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Slate Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsburg. Honored to be urn bearers are: Jason Brown, Cole Brown and Seth Brown. Cremation was private. Mike’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Moore’s Mountain Church, 1062 Siddonsburg Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, immediately following the interment.
