Gertha Vivian (Null) McClintock

Gertha Vivian (Null) McClintock, age 84, of Duncannon, and formerly of Enola, was reunited with her husband on Friday, November 18, 2022.  Gertha was born on Wednesday, July 20, 1938, in Harrisburg to the late Sylvia Eby (Diehl) Null.  Gertha was the widow of Alfred “Al” James McClintock, Sr., whom she married on January 19, 1958, and who died on February 8, 1995.  In addition to her mother and husband, Gertha is preceded in death by her son, Alfred “Al” James McClintock, Jr.

Gertha’s survivors include her four children: Karen Sue Dupert and her husband, David, of Mechanicsburg; Kathy Eileen Yinger and her husband, Robert, of Mechanicsburg; Sherry Ann Amrhein of Mechanicsburg; Jerry Lee McClintock of West Field, IN; her nine grandchildren: Shanna and her husband, David; AJ; Jessica and her husband, James; Elizabeth and her husband, Michael; Kristina and her husband, John; Mackenzie; Noah; Logan; Jackson; her eight great-grandchildren; her two sisters: Ethel Simmons of Hanover; Carolyn Myers and her husband, Alan, of Gig Harbor, WA; and several nieces and nephews.

Gertha graduated from Northern High School as part of the class of 1956.  She was a homemaker for the majority of her life and took great pride in her home.  For many years, she babysat the neighborhood kids, who lovingly referred to her as “Nanny”.  Gertha loved to watch television and rarely missed an episode of her favorite shows, The Price is Right and Days of Our Lives.  In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles.  Above all else, family was most important to her.  Gertha will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

All are welcome to join Gertha’s family at her viewing on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 11:15 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; and her virtual gathering of family and friends and service via video chat or telephone beginning at 11:45 a.m.  Gertha’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service.  Burial in Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill will be private.
