Glen Leroy Brosius

Glen Leroy Brosius, age 86, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018. Glen was born on Monday, July 27, 1931 in Rebuck to the late William C. Brosius and Florence Alva (Kieffer) Brosius. In addition to his parents, Glen is preceded in death by his two sisters: Gloria Peffley and Corrine Rothermel.
Glen’s survivors include his wife of 61 years, Anna Mae (Bryan) Brosius; his three children: Brad Brosius and his wife, Diane, of Dover, Mitchel Brosius of Mechanicsburg, Kim Zuvich and her husband, Frank, of Mechanicsburg; his four grandchildren: Heather and her husband, Brett, Benjamin and his wife, Shelley, Megan, Christen; his two great-grandchildren: Eleanor, Lila; his three brothers: James Brosius and his wife, Audrey, of Pennsylvania, Robert Brosius of Pennsylvania, Richard Brosius and his wife, Dawn, of Pennsylvania; his sister, Leone Latshaw and her husband, Kenneth, of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
Glen graduated from Line Mountain High School as part of the class of 1948 and from Franklin & Marshall College in 1959 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He proudly served in the United States Air Force as an F-86 pilot. Glen retired from Raycom Electronics in Dover, after 26 years of service working as a manufacturing manager. He was a charter member of the F-86 Pilots Association. Glen was an avid fan of Cumberland Valley wrestling and football. He was also a fan of Penn State University football. Glen enjoyed boating, water skiing, reading, and going to his daily walk every morning.
All are welcome to join Glen’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with The Reverend John R. Spangler officiating. Burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville will be at the family’s convenience. Cremation was private.
Glen’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at the café next to Myers-Buhrig immediately following the service.
