Gloria Jean Smith, 67, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Long Island, NY died Tuesday, September 19, 2011 at home. She was born on March 9, 1944 in East Meadow, Long Island, NY the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Edna Stone Brower. Gloria was the widow of Albert J. Smith who she married on October 11, 1965
Gloria enjoyed baking holiday cookies and starting baking and handing them out as early as October. She loved the Court TV shows and as she put it “restin my eyes”.
Gloria’s survivors include her loving children: Holly M. Smith of Plattsburgh, NY; Dawn E. Arcati and husband Peter of Dillsburg; Jody J. Smith and wife Maria; Margaret (Maggie) Solomon of Sugar Hill, GA; a brother: William Brower; two sisters: Jacqueline and Joyce Brower; eight grandsons; three granddaughters; three great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
