Grace E. (Bollman) Funkhouser, age 86, of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, June 25, 2018.  Grace was born on Wednesday, July 15, 1931 in Saxton to the late David Bollman and Mae (Fegley) Bollman.  In addition to her parents, Grace is preceded in death by her sister, Edna Colyer.

Grace’s survivors include her husband of 65 years, James “Jim” Funkhouser, Sr.; her two children: James “Jim” Funkhouser, Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of La Crescenta, CA, Nancy DelSanto and her husband, James, of Camp Hill, PA; her four grandchildren: Karen Bunch and her husband, Greg, of Montrose, CA, Adam Funkhouser of Montrose, CA, Sarah Moore and her husband, Brian, of Dauphin, PA, Joseph DelSanto of Camp Hill, PA; her great-granddaughter, Luna DelSanto of Camp Hill, PA; her three siblings: John Bollman and his wife, Carol, of Pennsylvania, Audrey Reed and her husband, Tom, of Huntingdon, PA, Delores Hauck of McConnellsburg, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Grace was a long-time member of Silver Spring Presbyterian Church in Mechanicsburg for over 50 years, where she helped with various activities such as the annual Fall Fest.  She worked at Book of the Month Club in Mechanicsburg for close to five years. Grace was a great cook, baker, and did a variety of crafts, which included:  painting, sewing, and doing ceramics.  Everyone loved her because of her sweet and caring nature that will be missed by so many.

All are welcome to join Grace’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Silver Spring Presbyterian Church, 444 Silver Spring Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050; with Reverend Donald B. Wahlig and Reverend Jane Anabe officiating.  Grace’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at her church following the service.  Interment in the church cemetery will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.
