Gregg Marlin Forry, 62, of Green Lane , and formerly of Mechanicsburg , died at home and surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).  He was born in Mechanicsburg, on Thursday, March 23, 1950, son of Janet Lorraine (McCaleb) Forry and the late Marlin Hertzler Forry.

Gregg’s survivors include his mother, Janet Lorraine (McCaleb) Forry of Mechanicsburg; his former wife and dear friend, Jane Louise (Eshbach) Forry of Green Lane; his three daughters, Cherie A. Houck and her husband Matt and their children Emmersyn and Harper all of Duncannon, Lindsey E. Miller and her husband Richard and their son Ewan all of Illinois, and Lauren A. Forry of Green Lane.  Among those preceding Gregg in death are his son, Ryan Christopher Forry and his sister, Gwyn Forry Wertz.

Gregg graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1968 and from Lehigh University in 1972 with a degree in chemistry.  He retired in 1994 from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after many years of service and as Head of the Flight Division of the FBI Special Operations Group based in Newark, New Jersey.  Gregg loved being involved with his daughters' lives and he always took an active interest in their activities.  He enjoyed house projects especially those involving wood working.  A devoted Phillies Fan , Gregg attended many games over the years and often with his girls.

All are welcome to join Gregg’s family at his viewing on Monday, February 25, 2013, from 12:30 to 1:15 with his service beginning at 1:30 at Trindle Spring Lutheran Church , 14 State Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, with Pastor Richard G. Lorenz and The Reverend Clifton D. Eshbach officiating.  Burial will follow in Rolling Green Memorial Park in Camp Hill.  Gregg’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at the church following the burial.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Trindle Spring Lutheran Church , 14 State Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, or Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church , 2966 Old Bethlehem Pike, Zionhill, PA 18981, or CurePSP , 30 East Padonia Road, Suite 201, Timonium, MD 21093.
