Han Young Ro

Han Young Ro, age 80, of Mechanicsburg, died peacefully at West Shore Hospital on Wednesday, February 3, 2016.  Han Young was born on Thursday, February 28, 1935, in Seoul, Korea, to the late Jin Myung Ro and Hwa Ro (Kang).  Han Young was the widower of Young Ok (Won) Ro, whom he married in December 1963, and who died on August 17, 2008.  In addition to his parents and wife, Han Young is preceded in death by his one brother and two sisters.

Han Young’s survivors include his three sons: Joohyun Ro and his wife, Betsy, of Emmaus, PA, Joo Yong Ro of Mechanicsburg, Joo Ik Ro and his wife, Letitia, of Carlisle; his four grandchildren: Kasey Ro, Jesse Ro, Victoria Ro, Ashley Ro; his four sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Han Young was a member of Hope Korean United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg since 2006, where he served as a church deacon.

All are welcome to join Han Young’s family at his viewing on Saturday, February 6, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Ho Shik Kang officiating.  Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.  Honored to be pallbearers are: Joohyun Ro, Joo Yong Ro, Joo Ik Ro, Kasey Ro, Jesse Ro, and Minso Yoon.
