Harry Albert Lilley, III
Harry Albert Lilley, III, age 68, of Camp Hill, and formerly of Lemoyne, died at Harrisburg Hospital while surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Harry was born on Sunday, March 27, 1949 in Harrisburg to the late Harry Albert Lilley, Jr. and Effie Margaret Lilley. In addition to his parents, Harry is preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Lilley Epps, and his sister, Deborah Lilley
Harry’s survivors include his former spouse and friend, Diana Lilley of Camp Hill; his three children: Harry A. Lilley, IV and his wife, Leah, of Lemoyne, Dalton McDiffitt and his wife, Jennifer, of Dillsburg, Dawn Qualls of Camp Hill; his seven grandchildren: Caitlin, Jordan, Arizona, Kara, Aedan, Orchid, Lana; his two sisters: Diane Schroyer, Lesia Lilley; and his brother, Eugene Lilley.
Harry began his working life at Lafferty Lumber in Lemoyne before beginning his journey as a mechanic and auto body repairman at West Shore Radiator in Lemoyne. He became well known as a skilled mechanic, so much so that Richard Petty would request his services when racing at the Pocono Raceway. After 27 years of service, Harry retired from West Shore Radiator and began as a delivery driver at Advanced Auto. He loved fixing things and was known to his family as a great tinkerer and a man who could fix almost anything.
Harry loved being an avid collector. One of his favorite collectibles were his Joe Montana cards which eventually amounted to a complete set which included many rare finds. He was known to be a negotiator by the many vendors at the Silver Spring Flee Market, a past time he greatly enjoyed.
All are welcome to join Harry’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church, 1050 South York Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Cremation was private.
