Loving and Devoted Father and Son -
Henrik Carl Larsson, age 45, of Mechanicsburg , and formerly of Asheville, NC and Eskilstuna, Sweden , died at home and surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 1, 2015. Henrik was born on Thursday, January 15, 1970 in Eskilstuna, Sweden to Mats Ingemar Larsson and Birgitta Evy Larsson.
In addition to his loving parents, Mats and Birgitta Larsson, of Sweden, Henrik’s survivors include his devoted wife, Allison (Clark) Larsson; his daughter, Olivia Nilsson; and his brother, Fredrik and his wife, Sandra, and their son, Alfred, of Sweden.
Henrik worked for Volvo Construction Equipment , working his way up to product manager through various positions in the company. As a semi-professional soccer player, Henrik was a local star in his hometown in Sweden. His former team played a match in Henrik’s honor on October 4 th . He was well-respected and fiercely competitive. Henrik also had a gentle, fun-loving, and carefree spirit. He was extremely funny and delighted in the simple things. Henrik loved to travel and he enjoyed his IPA beer. He considered special time with his daughter, eating out and enjoying the same activities, time well spent. Henrik was known for being very specific in his thinking, for putting others before himself, and for being a loyal friend. Above all, Henrik was a loving father, and a good son, who was devoted to his family; staying connected and close to his family in Sweden while living in the United States.
All are welcome to join Henrik’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Saturday, October 10, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George Spangler officiating. Cremation was private.
