Loving Mother, Grandmother, & Great-Grandmother -
Patricia “Pat” (Miller) Watkins, age 79, of Mechanicsburg, passed away at home peacefully while being comforted by her loving family and her faithful dog by her side on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Pat was born on Sunday, February 27, 1938 in Steelton to the late Fred Marlin Miller and Irma Arlene (Fawber) Miller. Pat was the widow of David Thorne Watkins, whom she married on May 10, 1958, and who died on February 24, 2006. In addition to her parents and husband, Pat is preceded in death by her grandson, Scott Richard Craig.
Pat’s survivors include her daughter, Tricia Craig and her husband, Richard, of Mechanicsburg; her two granddaughters: Angela Craig and her son, Michael Scot, and Patricia “Patty” Craig; her faithful canine companion of 14 years, Cuddles; and several nieces and nephews.
Pat graduated from Central Dauphin High School as part of the class of 1956. After graduation, Pat began working at Bell Telephone in Harrisburg. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist faith. Pat took great pride in her home which she loved to decorate by painting items to match her interior design. She was a hard worker with a high sense of principles and values that she was raised with. Pat’s parents were extremely proud of her and she carried what they taught her throughout her whole life. She was an excellent mother and a great wife who loved her family deeply. Family was very important to Pat and they will miss her greatly.
All are welcome to join Pat’s family at her graveside service on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011; with Reverend Dr. Timothy R. Baer officiating. Honored to be pallbearers are Richard Craig, Scot Hall, and Brandon Sheaffer.
