Shared the Message of Salvation -

James “Jim” Leroy Miller, age 81, of Mechanicsburg passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his loving family on Monday, November 18, 2019.  Jim was born on Monday, June 13, 1938 in Lemoyne to the late Clarence E. Miller and Helen Louise (Nichols) Duebler. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Miller and his step son, Scott Pass.

Jim’s survivors include his wife of 34 years, June E. (Komuves) Miller; and his entire loving family.

Jim graduated from West Shore High School as part of the class of 1957 and attended Thompson Institute in Harrisburg.  He retired from the Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg in 2000, working as a Computer Programmer Analyst. After graduating from high school, Jim followed in his father and grandfather’s footsteps and went to work for the Pennsylvania Railroad in the Enola yards for nearly 15 years.  Jim proudly served in the Air National Guard from 1956 until 1968.  He then went on to be an instructor at Thompson Institute. His church was very important to him; and he was a long-time member of Good News Free Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg.  Jim was an active volunteer with the Tres Dias Ministry and the New Digs Ministry.  God gifted Jim with his singing voice; which allowed him to minister to others with the El Shaddai singers. Jim was a founding member and past president of Keystone Model Railroad Historical Society in Mechanicsburg.  He was known, by family and friends as a people person, who was passionate about sharing the message of salvation.  Jim, will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
