James “Bubba” “Jimmy” Albert Shannon

James “Bubba” “Jimmy” Albert Shannon, 3, of Mechanicsburg , died at Lake in the Woods Resort surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 14, 2012. He was born on Friday, November 14, 2008, son of Timothy Robert Shannon and Jamie Susan (DiIorio) Shannon who both survive him. Jimmy’s other survivors include his twin brother, Robby; his three younger brothers, Benjamin, David and Michael; his paternal grandparents, Bob and Pat Shannon of Dillsburg; his maternal grandparents, Jim & Sue DiIorio of Shippensburg; his paternal great grandfathers, Don Adams and Robert Shannon, Sr. both of Mechanicsburg; and his maternal great grandparents, Bill & Florence Kirby of Delaware.
Jimmy was a blessing to his family. When he got excited about leaving the hospital or getting ready to go camping with his family his giggles let his happiness shine through. Jimmy was always the “go to guy” for TV snuggling, naps with Daddy and loving hugs. He is now an angel, watching over his family from heaven.
All are welcome to join Jimmy’s family at his viewing on Thursday, July 19, 2012, from 6:00 time of service at 7:30 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Pastor Donald J. Ciampa officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mechanicsburg. Honored to be pallbearers are: Tim Shannon, James DiIorio, Bob Shannon and Robby Shannon.
The family respectfully asks that contributions be made to Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, to help defray Jimmy’s final expenses.
