Jane E. (Ort) Hinderliter
Quiet and Sweet -
Jane E. (Ort) Hinderliter, age 79, of Mechanicsburg, passed away at home on Monday, July 4, 2016. Jane was born on Saturday, March 13, 1937 in Mifflin County, PA to the late Harry M Ort and Sarah G. (Hummel) Ort. Jane was the widow of William “Bill” Irvin Hinderliter, whom she married on May 13, 1961, and who died on April 27, 2011. In addition to her parents and husband, Jane is preceded in death by her three brothers: Lawrence Ort, Bill Ort, Bob Ort; and her sister, Freda Miller.
Jane’s survivors include her five daughters: Cindy Stanbery of Camp Hill, PA, Sandra Woods of Gastonia, NC, Tami Foust of Mechanicsburg, PA, Julie Burner of Marysville, PA, Patti Espinosa of Camp Hill, PA; her six grandchildren: Richard Foust, II, Benjamin Burner, Collin Burner, Paiton Espinosa, Paige Espinosa, Petra Espinosa; her three siblings: Dorothy Davis, Mary Hackenberger, Andrew Ort; and several nieces and nephews.
Jane was a life member of the ladies auxiliary at Amvets Post #274 in Carlisle, American Legion Post #109 in Mechanicsburg, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose in Carlisle since 1982 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Carlisle since 1980. Jane loved getting out and doing things, even though she was a very quiet woman. She always participated in her girls’ lives and their activities. Jane loved her family and thrived off of her grandchildren, they will miss her dearly.
All are welcome to join Jane’s family at her viewing on Friday, July 8, 2016, from 12:45 p.m. until time of service at 1:45 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant Tracy Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisburg. Honored to be pallbearers are: Ben Burner, Collin Burner, Rick Foust, II, Craig Timothy, Chuck Stanbery, Patrick Espinosa, Roger Woods. Jane’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at the American Legion Post #109, 224 West Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 following the burial.
