Loved to Have Fun -

Janet Irene (Klawitter) Klugh, age 72, of Mechanicsburg, was embraced by her family in Heaven on Friday, September 27, 2019.  Janet was born on Thursday, May 29, 1947 in Shamokin to the late Glennwood William Klawitter and Clara Irene (Levan) Klawitter.  Janet was the widow of William “Bill” E. Klugh, whom she married on December 4, 1983, and who died on January 6, 2010.

Janet’s survivors include her three children: Robert Moores II of Mechanicsburg, Christine “Chris” Moores of Mechanicsburg, Randy King of Hershey; her two grandsons: Eric Fortney, Ryan Fortney both of Mechanicsburg; her two brothers: Glennwood Klawitter, Jr. of Harrisburg, Wayne Klawitter and his wife, Karen, of Mechanicsburg; her cousin, caretaker, and dear friend, Ruth Lau of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Janet graduated from Cedar Cliff High School as part of the class of 1965.  She was a member of Cumberland Valley Brethren in Christ in Dillsburg for 50 years, where she served as an elder.  Janet was a member of the Red Hat Society.  She enjoyed sewing, crafting, cross-stitching, needlepoint, and making curtains and wedding dresses.  Janet was an excellent cook and baker who could prepare a delicious homemade pot pie.  She also loved to dance and have fun, especially when she could do so with her friends and family.

All are welcome to join Janet’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George A. Spangler officiating.  Janet’s family invites everyone to join them for a reception with food and fellowship at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory immediately following the service.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisburg.  Honored to be pallbearers are: Chip Main, Robert Moores II, and Keith Vanwinkle.
