Long-Time Frey Village Resident -

Jean L. Cook, 91, a long-time resident of Frey Village Retirement Center in Middletown and a former resident of Mechanicsburg, died Thursday at home. She was born in Hazleton on Friday, November 21, 1919 the daughter of the late William J. and Jennie E. (Williams) Cook.

Jean graduated from Hazleton High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. She attended Ursinus College and was a graduate of the McCann School of Business in Hazleton. She retired from the Naval Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg. Jean was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg.

Jean is survived by one brother: Joseph Cook of Elizabethtown; two nephews: William “Bill” C. Davis and his late wife Karen A. of Dillsburg, J.D. Davis of Bloomsburg; two nieces: Linda Cook of Allentown, Diane Cook of Philadelphia; one sister-in-law: Elizabeth Cook of Allentown and several more nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to join Jean’s family at her Viewing on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 2:00 until time of Graveside Service at 2:30 in the Chapel at Rolling Green Memorial Park in Camp Hill. Rev. Eric Anderson will officiate with burial immediately following the service.
