Jean Yvonne (Huyett) Metz

Jean Yvonne (Huyett) Metz, age 92, of Camp Hill, and formerly of Monroeville, passed away peacefully while being comforted by her family on Saturday, August 8, 2020.  Jean was born on Wednesday, February 1, 1928, in Hagerstown, Maryland, to the late Earl Downin Huyett and Alma Rebecca (Baker) Suffecool.  Jean was the widow of Joseph Price Metz, whom she married on June 28, 1952, and who died on November 3, 1973.  In addition to her parents and husband, Jean is preceded in death by her two siblings, Earl Huyett and Patricia Evenson.

Jean’s survivors include her three sons: Joseph “Joe” Uhl Metz and wife Betsy of Camp Hill, Dean Huyett Metz and wife Beth of Huntersville, North Carolina, Eric Downin Metz and wife Lori of Scottsdale, Arizona; her seven grandchildren: Joseph Metz, Sean Metz, Kathryn Metz, Allison Metz, Paulina Metz, Olivia Metz and Eric Metz; and several nieces and nephews.

Jean’s services will be announced once scheduled.  Interment will be in Plum Creek Cemetery in Pittsburgh.  Cremation was private.
