Jeanette Ruth (Bender) Watts, age 72, of Mechanicsburg died on Thursday, April 30, 2015. Jeanette was born on Tuesday, October 13, 1942 in Mechanicsburg to the late Harold Melville Bender and Viola (Moffitt) Bender.
Jeanette’s survivors include her two loving children: Richard Watts of Mechanicsburg, Sherri Houck of Lebanon; her grandson, Daniel Houck of Wormleysburg; and her sister, Doris Bender of Mechanicsburg.
Jeanette graduated from Mechanicsburg Area High School as part of the class of 1960 and she attended Shippensburg University . She was a member of the American Legion Post 109 Auxiliary and worked for more than 30 years as an accountant with the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare .
Jeanette’s family will be remembering her life privately. Cremation was private.
