Jeffrey “Squiggy” “Bubba” Lynn Witmer, 55, of Mechanicsburg , died at Hershey Medical Center on Saturday, July 13, 2013. He was born in Harrisburg, on Tuesday, November 26, 1957, son of the late Melvin Glenwood Witmer and Helen B. (Howe) Witmer. Jeffrey was the husband of Dawn Marie (Ringel) Witmer whom he married on September 17, 2011 and who survives him.
Jeffrey’s survivors include his loving wife, Dawn Marie (Ringel) Witmer; his foster siblings, Arlene Neumyer of Mechanicsburg, Bruce Wagner of Enola; numerous step-sons, step-daughters, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces; his long-time friends, John W. Sunday of Highspire, Jim Hulse of Mechanicsburg, and the Lucas Family. Among those preceding Jeffrey in death are several siblings.
Jeffrey was a member of Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church in Mechanicsburg, Silver Spring Fire Company in Mechanicsburg, Citizens Fire Company #1 of Highspire, West Fairview Fire Company in Enola, the American Legion Post #109 in Mechanicsburg, and the Williams Grove Historic Steam Engine Association in Mechanicsburg. He was a former member of the Washington Fire Company in Mechanicsburg.
All are welcome to join Jeffrey’s family at his viewing on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 2:00 until time of service at 3:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Pastor John A. King officiating. Burial will be private and in Mechanicsburg Cemetery .
