Jerry Allen Temple
Jerry Allen Temple, age 74, of Camp Hill, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Jerry was born on Wednesday, April 28, 1948, in Key West, FL to the late Demonte William Temple and Katherine Marie (Dwyer) Temple.
Jerry’s survivors include his wife of 54 years, Susan “Sue” Lee (Lehmer) Temple; his two daughters: Brenda Temple of Carlisle; Debora Temple of Mechanicsburg; his two grandchildren: Jacob Simmoneau of Mechanicsburg; Kaylee Simmoneau and her significant other, Jonathan Kirchner, of Middletown; his four siblings: Catherine Hess of Maryland; Sheila O’Sullivan and her husband, Daniel, of Juniata County; Demonte Temple, Jr. and his wife, Jeanne, of Mechanicsburg; Timothy Temple of Delaware; and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry served his country as a Field Medic in the Army during Vietnam for several years. After retiring he served his community in law enforcement. During this time, he attended and graduated from the FBI Academy in Quantico for Crime Scene Photography. He was the youngest Police Officer in the Fairview Township Police Department to be promoted to Assistant Chief.
After his career in law enforcement, Jerry was a self taught Computer Security Officer for the Department of Defense. He retired after 34 years of service.
Jerry was a Hero to his family and advised and supported them no matter what the challenge. His love for his wife Sue was evident in the many Disney World trips they have made through the years. He was a humble man and showed his love repeatedly to his family by all of the special things he did for them throughout the years.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Fort Indiantown Gap on January 24th, 2023 at 1400. Cremation was private.
