Jessie Louise (Fahnestock) Hill, 85, of Mechanicsburg , died at Holy Spirit Hospital on Monday, January 21, 2013. She was born in Mechanicsburg on Sunday, May 8, 1927, daughter of the late Harry Fahnestock and Florence (Myers) Fahnestock. Jessie was the widow of Paul E. Hill to whom she was married for 61 years and who passed away in 2009.
She retired from Mechanicsburg Naval Depot . Jessica was a kind and sweet old-fashioned woman who enjoyed a simple life.
Jessie’s survivors include her loving daughters, Peggy H. Boyle and her husband Daniel of Mullica Hill, NJ, Jean H. Berkich and her husband Donald of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Floyd Fahnestock of Mechanicsburg. Among those preceding Jessie in death are a son Paul E. Hill, Jr.
All are welcome to join Jessie’s family at her Graveside service on Friday, January 25, 2013, at 11:00 at Mechanicsburg Cemetery , 137 West Marble Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Pastor Richard G. Lorenz officiating. Cremation was private.
