Joanne “Jo” Roberta (Thompson) Cutman, age 77, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Lower Paxton Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2020. Joanne was born on Saturday, April 18, 2020, in Harrisburg to the late Mildred (Beemer) Thompson and John Robert Thompson. In addition to her parents, Joanne is preceded in death by her infant son, Kevin Cutman.
Joanne’s survivors include her husband of over 59 years, David Joel Cutman; her two daughters: Kristen Gold and her husband Aaron of Mechanicsburg, Kathryn “Kathy” Derk and her husband Craig, of Winfield, PA; her five grandchildren: Steven Huffer and his wife Courtney, Stephanie Burkholder and her husband Joshua, Ashley Morris and her husband Brian, Emily Cartmill and her husband Joshua, Jessica Derk; her three great-grandchildren: Nolan, Lucian, and Eowyn; and her beloved feline companion of 14 years, Dusty.
Joanne was the “Original Pizza Lady” at Silver Spring, Williams Grove, Selinsgrove, Hagerstown, Penn National, and Lincoln Speedways. In 1967, she and her husband built their pizza stand business, and ran them on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays up through 2000.
Joanne’s service is being rescheduled and will be announced when the new date and time has been finalized Cremation was private.
