John Robert Carter, Jr.

John Robert Carter Jr, age 67, of Carlisle, died on Friday, October 20, 2023.  John was born on Monday, June 25, 1956, in Scranton to Frances Jean (Dubosky) Carter and the late John Robert Carter Sr. 

John’s survivors include his mother: Frances Jean (Dubosky) Carter; his three children: Frances “Fran” Jean Mabe and her husband, Doug, of Mechanicsburg, Denise Starner and her husband, Justin, of Carlisle, Robert Russell and his wife, Robin, of Chambersburg; his eight grandchildren: Marley Ness, Brittany Potts and her husband, Trent, David Ross and his wife, Bri, Zachary Austin and his wife, Zowie, Matthew Ross and his wife, Tanyia, Emily Austin, Madison Russell and her husband, Ben, Connor Mabe; his four great-grandchildren: Leah, Brianna, Zayne, and Oliver.

John’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Interment will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.
