John Robert Keeler, age 82, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.  John was born on Wednesday, November 10, 1937, in Erie to the late John “Bob” Robert Keeler and Rauha Frida (Korhonen) Keeler.

John’s survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy Marie (Doak) Keeler; his two children: Scott David Keeler and wife Beverly Johnson-Keeler of Lake Luzerne, New York, Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Peterson and husband Joel of Clearfield; his three grandchildren: Timothy “Tim” Scot Keeler and wife Amy of Newark, Delaware, Amaretta Marie Keeler of Colonie, New York, Luke Aaron Peterson and fiancée Jennifer Creel of Lancaster; his five great-grandchildren: Jaden Keeler, Olivia Strohmeier, Brielle Keeler, Austin Keeler, Calista Strohmeier; his sister, Linda K. Creel of Sloansville, New York; and his two nieces.

John graduated from McDowell High School as part of the class of 1955 and from Grove City College in 1959.  He was employed by AMP, Inc. in Harrisburg for many years as a metallurgical engineer.  John embarked on a second career as a certified financial planner and owner of Keeler & Danner Financial Services, LLP in Mechanicsburg until his retirement.  He loved fishing and traveling, and more than anything, he cherished spending time with his family; they were John’s world.

John’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Cremation was private.
