John Leon McWilliams, 60, of Mechanicsburg , died at home on Thursday, October 17, 2013. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, June 23, 1953, son of the late Jacob Leon McWilliams and Shirley Marie (Natter) McWilliams.
John’s survivors include his brother, Brian David McWilliams and his wife Jennifer and their daughter Alana all of Carlisle.
John graduated from Homestead High School in the Pittsburgh Area. He retired from Naval Ships Parts Control Center in Mechanicsburg, after many years of faithful service as a logistics support specialist. John was a huge railroad buff and loved watching trains. He was an enthusiastic and loyal Pittsburgh sports fan, cheering on all of the teams. John enjoyed his day trips to Atlantic City , Harper’s Ferry , and many other destinations. A special joy of John’s was spending time with his niece, Alana.
