John “Jack” Michael Heath, Jr.

John “Jack” Michael Heath, Jr., age 78, of Camp Hill, and formerly of The Bronx, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023.  Jack was born on Tuesday, October 31, 1944, in The Bronx, NY to the late John Michael Heath, Sr. and Margaret (Finnegan) Heath.

Jack’s survivors include his son, John Heath, III and his wife, Vanessa, of Mechanicsburg; his daughter, Jeanne Heath of Mechanicsburg; his granddaughter, Samantha Heath; and his brother, Robert Heath and his wife, Kathy, of Staten Island, NY.

Jack graduated from Regis High School and from Iona University, both in NY.  He retired from the Bureau of Disability Determination in Harrisburg, after years of service working as a Disability Claims Adjudicator.  Jack loved to collect baseball cards and considered them his prized possessions.  He enjoyed listening to Doo-Wop music, had an impressive collection of vinyl records and used to DJ for Parents without Partners events.  Jack looked forward to spending time with his friends and frequently met them for lunch at Rod’s Roadhouse.  Above all else, he loved his family. Jack will be dearly missed.

All are welcome to join Jack’s family at his celebration of life open house and gathering of family and friends on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 3:00 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory).  Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots.  Cremation was private.
