Josefina “Josie” Maria (Fernandez) Jimenez

Josefina “Josie” Maria (Fernandez) Jimenez, age 83, of Orlando, and formerly of Mechanicsburg and Carlisle, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Advent Health Orlando, Orlando FL.  Josie was born on Wednesday, August 7, 1935 in Bonao, Dominican Republic to the late Dario Fernandez and Flavia (Rosario) Rosaria-Estevez.  Josie was the widow of Carmelo T. Jimenez, Sr., whom she married on April 20, 1954, and who died on February 13, 2003.  In addition to her parents and husband, Josie is preceded in death by her infant son, Carmelo T. Jimenez, Jr. and her three brothers, Jose Estevez, Raphael Estevez and Benjamin Estevez.

Josie’s survivors include her two daughters: Lucia I. Klekman and her husband, Jeffrey, of Orlando, FL, Maria Elenz Glatz and her husband, Robert, of Carlisle; her three granddaughters: Leslie Klekman, Rachael Klekman, Jessie Phillips; and her several nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to join Josie’s family at her graveside service on Friday, April 19, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 55 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA  17003 with Elias Jimenez officiating. Cremation was private.
