Joseph “Joe” Albert Tozlosky, Jr., age 65, of Mechanicsburg, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 16, 2019.  Joe was born on Thursday, August 26, 1954 in Harrisburg to Eleanor (Plis) Tozolosky and the late Joseph Albert Tozlosky, Sr.  In addition to his father, Joe is preceded in death by sister, Elaine M. Holsinger; and his faithful canine companion, Barney.

Joe’s survivors include his wife of 46 years, Cheryl Ann (Dellinger) Tozlosky; his daughter, Christal Tozlosky of Camp Hill; his granddaughter, Aaliyah Butler of Camp Hill; his mother, Eleanor Tozlosky; his brother, David Tozlosky and his wife, Colette, of Tampa, FL; his two sisters: Lynn Thomas and her husband, George, of Sacramento, PA, Janice Bender and her husband, Weldon, of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Joe graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1972.  He retired from Book of the Month Club in Mechanicsburg, after 10 years of service working in maintenance.  Joe was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, hunting, and being in the outdoors.  Joe was a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan and tried to never miss a game.  He was a very easygoing guy who just loved life.  Joe really enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, the apple of his eye.

All are welcome to join Joe’s family at his viewing on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. until time of prayer service at 12:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Deacon Jack Paruso officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.  Honored to be pallbearers are: Dan Bredbenner, Derrick Dellinger, Scott Dellinger, Steven Dellinger, George Thomas, and Trent Thomas.  Joe’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Hoss’s Steak & Sea House, 61 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, immediately following the burial.
