Joyce Isabelle (Taylor) Ritter

Joyce Isabelle (Taylor) Ritter, age 90, of Boiling Springs, died on Friday, September 13, 2024. Joyce was born on Saturday, July 21, 1934, in Plainfield to the late William Warren Taylor and Isabelle Martha (Miller) Taylor. Joyce was the widow of Daniel Herbert Ritter, Jr., whom she married on July 27, 1952., and who died on April 9, 1988. In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce is preceded in death by her seven siblings: Cletus Taylor, Warren Taylor, Dale Taylor, Virgia Grosz, Alma Surber, Geraldine Engle, and Phyllis Tindle. 

Joyce’s survivors include her three children: Sharon E. Spahr and husband, Clarence III of Dillsburg, Jeffery “Jeff” B. Ritter and wife, Kelly of Boiling Springs, Bret M. Ritter and wife, Tammy of Boiling Springs; her eight grandchildren: Daniel Spahr, Brandon Spahr and wife, Becky, Matthew Spahr, Jason Ritter and wife, Nicole, Christopher Ritter and wife, Billie Jo, Justin Ritter and wife, Gabrielle, Natalie Meeks and husband, Grant, Tiffany Ritter; her sixteen great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law: Gertrude Taylor of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews. 

All are welcome to join Joyce’s family at her viewing on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 10:45 a.m. until time of service at 11:45 a.m. at Buhrig Funeral & Cremation, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Joyce’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service. Burial will follow the reception in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens in Carlisle. Honored to be pallbearers are: Christopher Ritter, Jason Ritter, Justin Ritter, Brandon Spahr, Daniel Spahr, and Matthew Spahr.
