Judith “Judy” Ann (Heenan) Eames
Beloved Sister, Aunt, Coworker, and Friend -
Judith “Judy” Ann (Heenan) Eames, age 60, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Philadelphia, passed from this life to the next surrounded by her family on Monday, October 24, 2016, after a four year battle with breast cancer. Judy was born on Tuesday, March 20, 1956 in Philadelphia to the late Thomas John Heenan and Mildred Rita (Krier) Heenan. Judy was the widow of Richard “Rick” E. Eames, whom she married on December 31, 1994, and who died on February 1, 2001, after a long battle with liver disease. During his illness, Judy was his devoted advocate who was constantly by his side.
Judy’s survivors include her seven loving siblings: Mary Cybak and her husband, George, of Philadelphia, Patricia “Patsy” Lockard and her husband George, of Huntingdon, Tom Heenan of Mechanicsburg, Frank Heenan and his wife, Carmella, of Warminster, James “Jim” Heenan and his wife, Lori, of Mechanicsburg, Patrick Heenan and his wife, Kathy, of Mechanicsburg, Carol Molovich and her husband, Kevin, of Mechanicsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Judy graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia as part of the class of 1974 and she attended Harrisburg Area Community College. She retired from James O. Bower Insurance Inc. in Mechanicsburg, where she was a dedicated employee that worked as a bookkeeper. Judy was a devoted pet parent to Heidi, Molly, Suki, Nittany, and Taz, who all have been waiting for her in Heaven. She loved animals deeply and quite the activist for them. Judy had a passion for reading and watching movies, which she did every chance she had. Judy enjoyed traveling and had even gone to Ireland, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Mardi Gras, and many more. Even if Judy couldn’t travel far, just going to the beach was enough for her. She also found great joy in going to any casino and playing the penny machines, where she always hoped to hit it big. Judy loved to spoil her 18 nieces and nephews along with her 18 great-nieces and nephews, from going to their weddings to being there for the birth of their children. She was very generous, smart, and would stand her ground for anyone. Judy will be remembered for her feisty spirit and attention to detail; she will be missed dearly.
To honor Judy’s wish, her family will be remembering her life privately. Cremation was private.
