Julia “Julie” A (Ann) Puceta, age 71, of Berrysburg, PA, passed into eternal life on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Julie was born on Thursday, November 6, 1952, in Harrisburg, PA to the late Donald Albert Puceta and Theresa Irene (Barwick) Puceta. In addition to her parents, Julie is preceded in death by her two brothers: William “Billy” Puceta, Donald Puceta; her aunt: Dorothy “Dot” Barwick; and her niece: Shauna Puceta.
Julie’s survivors include her partner of over 15 years, Mark A. Chudley of Berrysburg; her son: Kelby Euker of Colorado; her sister in law ("Sis"), Sharon Connors of Enola ; two stepsons; her nephews: Nathan Puceta of Enola, Nick Schwartz and his wife Laura of Mechanicsburg, and Bill Puceta of Harrisburg; her nieces: Davina Puceta of Enola, Demetria Puceta of Enola, and Jenna Darcy and her husband William of Maryland; and numerous great nephews and nieces.
Julie graduated from William Penn High School. She was a longtime parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus in Harrisburg; she regularly attended services at Peace UCC in Berrysburg; also, she was a member of The Moose Lodge. Julie retired from the PA State Police after many years serving as a communications officer. Julie had a lot of love to share, she especially adored her nieces, nephews and other children especially those that are perpetually children at heart. Julie was an adventurer and enjoyed skydiving as well as travelling and exploring. She was passionate about physical fitness, performing Judo martial arts, competing in powerlifting and bodybuilding competitions, and taught dance. Julie was even able to meet Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno during her time at competitions. Whenever Julie parted company with anyone (friends or someone she just met) she always told them to: "Have a Blessed Day." She will be dearly missed by those who are fortunate enough to have known her.
All are welcome to join Julie's at her gathering of family and friends to share memories on Friday, August 2nd, 2024, at 9:00 am her gathering of family at 9:00am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 400 E. Simpson St. in Mechanicsburg. A Rosary Prayer will be said at 10:00 am in the Nave. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Nave at 10:30 am, with Father Kenneth Roth celebrating. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetary in Harrisburg at 12:00 pm. A time of food and fellowship will follow immediately after the internment (1:00 PM meal) at The Knights of Columbus, 145 Peach St, Harrisburg (Linglestown), PA 17112.
