June Marie (Holland) Price, 96, of Mechanicsburg , and formerly of Arcadia, Maryland , died at home and with her loving daughter by her side on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. She was born in West Springfield, Massachusetts , on Saturday, April 8, 1916, daughter of the late Oris Holland and Pearl “Pamela” (Dixon) Holland.
June retired as a proud federal employee in 1994 from Fort George G. Meade in Anne Arundel, MD. It was well known that on Friday afternoons June would begin to long for Monday morning so she could return to work. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg. June enjoyed her membership in and friends at the former West Shore Health Club in Camp Hill. Her love of all animals, both domestic and wild, was intense and she had a true passion for the ocean and the Chesapeake Bay.
June’s survivors include her loving daughter, Gail Maria (Blackmore) Fought and her husband Donald E. of Mechanicsburg; her three grandchildren, Samantha Danielson and her children Matthew and Amilia, Briana Danielson and Erik Danielson. Among those preceding June in death are her first husband, George Ernest Blackmore and her second husband, Ralph Warfield Price.
Services will be private and at the family’s convenience. Cremation was private.
