Larry Lee Hosler, age 72, of Mechanicsburg , died at Golden Living Center West Shore on Saturday, August 22, 2015.  Larry was born on Thursday, May 20, 1943 in Mechanicsburg to the late Robert Humar and Maryellen (Harbold) Hosler.  In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his step-father, Charles “Dad” Eugene Hosler.

Larry’s survivors include his two sons: Greg Hosler and his wife, Deanna, and their three children, Dominick, Zachary, and Eli of Camp Hill, Danny Hosler of Milton; and his two sisters: Shirley Cassatt and her husband, Gary, of Dover and Diane Wyland and her husband, Kenneth, of Carlisle.

Larry graduated from Cumberland Valley High School and retired from the Hampden Township Sewer Authority in Mechanicsburg in 1994.  He was a former member of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg.  Larry’s favorite pastime was bowling and he loved being a member of the Trindle Bowl Travel League .  When he wasn’t bowling he enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Cumberland Valley High School Football.  Shirley and Diane, Larry’s sisters, fondly remember bailing hay, pickling eggs, sledding, and butchering with Larry when they were growing up.  Above all else, Larry loved his grandsons and reveled in the time they spent together.

Larry’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Cremation and interment were at the family’s convenience.
