Larry L. Vogelsong, 70, of Mechanicsburg , died on Friday, September 14, 2012, at Hershey Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Mechanicsburg, on Thursday, February 5, 1942, son of the late Lawrence Vogelsong and Catherine (Shenk) Vogelsong.
Larry graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1960. He was a life-long farmer on his family’s farm. Larry was an avid deer hunter, and loved to joke around and have a good time. He was a great neighbor who was always available to help his friends. Larry was a true kind-hearted farmer.
Larry’s survivors include his loving companion of many years, Shirley Ann Killian of Carlisle; a sister, Joyce “Bonnie” Westhafer and her husband Elwood of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to join Larry’s family and friends on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Pastor Robert V. Bishard Jr., officiating. Burial will immediately follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Enola.
