Lawrence “Larry” Edward Roberts, 73, of Mechanicsburg , died at home on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.  He was born in Harrisburg, on Tuesday, December 5, 1939, son of the late Edward J. Roberts and Mildred M. (Risser) Roberts.  Larry was the husband of Sarah “Sallie” Jane (Lewis) Roberts whom he married on January 29, 1983.

Larry’s survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Sallie; children, Mark Roberts of Harrisburg, Kelly Minito and her husband John of New Cumberland; his step-children, Steven Rizzutto and his wife Christa of Mechanicsburg, Lisa Falenski and her husband Andy of Etters; grandchildren, Khara Williams her husband Sean, Michael Roberts, Hannah Rizzutto, Maddy Berrier, Nicky Berrier, Emma Rizzutto, Reese Rizzutto; great-grandchildren, Colton Roberts, Brayden Rizzutto; and a brother, Raymond Roberts and his wife Karen of New Cumberland.

Larry graduated from Harrisburg Catholic High School as part of the class of 1957.  He retired from The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, after 43 years of service working as a printer.  Larry attended Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg. He loved target shooting, motorcycles, bowling and most of all his beloved dogs.

All are welcome to join Larry’s family at his visitation on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, from 2:00 until time of service at 3:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Reverend Chester P. Snyder officiating.  The family suggests memorial contributions to ASPCA , 424 East 92 ^nd Street, New York, NY 10128.
