Leslie (Ember) Wisegarver, age 66, of Marysville, passed away after an extended illness on Wednesday, October 19, 2016.  Leslie was born on Wednesday, January 25, 1950 in Harrisburg to the late Nathan Donald Ember and Margaret Bertha (Heilman) Ember.  In addition to her parents, Leslie is preceded in death by her sister, Adrienne Ember.

Leslie’s survivors include her husband of 25 years, Bryan Keith Wisegarver; her brother, Michael Ember and his wife, Mow, of Dillsburg; her five sisters: Colleen Barrick and her husband, Robert, of Duncannon, Jill Moyer and her husband, Robert, of Hummelstown, Shelley Knauff and her husband, John, of Hummelstown, Toni Zimmerman and her husband, Barry, of Frederick, MD, Melody Dyer and her husband, Ted, of Glenside; and many nieces and nephews.

Leslie attended Susquenita schools and graduated from Cedar Cliff High School as part of the class of 1968.  The same year she graduated, she began working at Pomeroy’s and then Bon-Ton in Camp Hill until her illness prevented her from continuing work in 2016.  In those 48 years, she worked in a variety of departments and positions where she made lifelong friends.  Most importantly, she met her soon-to-be husband at Pomeroy’s in 1986.  It wasn’t long before she brought this handsome gentleman home and her sisters wondered where this cute guy came from.  Then, on April 29, 1991, Leslie married the man of her dreams together they created a beautiful home that became their sanctuary along the river.  She loved cats, flower gardening, and watching the birds eat out of her bird feeder.  Leslie could also be found quietly sitting, listening to the noises around her, and working on her crossword puzzles.  She will be remembered as the nicest sister by all of her siblings.  Leslie was a very thoughtful and caring person who will be missed dearly.
