Linda Kay (Rosenberger) Hampton, age 70, of Harrisburg, and formerly of New Cumberland, passed at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.  Linda was born on Saturday, September 24, 1949 in Mechanicsburg, to the late Claribel (Wood) Rosenberger and Clyde Rosenberger.

Linda’s survivors include her two daughters: Toni Stillions and husband Lawrence of Enola, Penny Leslie of Mechanicsburg; her three grandchildren: Brittany Martin and significant other Joshua Maugans of Mechanicsburg, Morgan Kohr and husband Austin, Colby Stillions; her great-grandson Dean Jenkins; her three sisters: Jan Albert, Deb Kauffman and husband John, Wendy Kaplan and husband Mike; and several nieces and nephews.

Linda graduated from Cedar Cliff High School as part of the class of 1968.  Over the years, she worked at Kinney Shoes in Shiremanstown, Rebena’s Dry-Cleaning in New Cumberland, and Highmark in Camp Hill.  Linda was a faithful servant of God.  She attended numerous churches throughout her life, and religion was important to her.  She was very “crafty” and loved to play Bingo at Paxton Ministries.  Linda delighted in cooking and feeding her family and friends during cherished family gatherings.  She loved to eat and was happy with her snacks and a good nap.  Everyone loved Linda’s smile; it made people feel good.  Linda’s family will miss her sweet, quiet, accommodating nature, and her yearning to make everyone happy.

All are welcome to join Linda’s family for her virtual gathering of family and friends and service via video chat or telephone on Monday, May 11, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. until time of virtual viewing at 2:45 p.m. and time of service at 3:00 p.m. with Celebrant Patti Vogl officiating.  Cremation was private.

The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to everyone at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital who so lovingly cared for Linda during her illness.
