Linda Lou Huey

Linda Lou Huey, age 58, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.  Linda was born on Wednesday, October 7, 1964, in Lewistown to the late Edgar William Huey and Betty Louise (Zimmerman) Huey.

Linda’s survivors include her two sons: Jeremy Deppen and his wife, Rachelle, of Mechanicsburg; Curtis Deppen and his wife, Stephanie, of Johnson City, TN; her seven grandchildren: Elizabeth, Lillian, Asa-Joel, Aslan, Moria, Cassidy and Konrad Deppen; her three sisters: Cynthia Seaholtz and her husband, Bill, of Lewistown; Mary Macknair and her husband, Rich, of Burnham; June Fike and her husband, Steve, of Lewistown; and several nieces and nephews.

Linda graduated from Lewistown Area High School as part of the class of 1982.  She was a 35 year employee of Weis Markets, where she served in the produce department and held the title of manager.  She worked in the Mechanicsburg and Harrisburg stores and most recently the Carlisle store.  Linda loved the beach and ocean and greatly enjoyed the times she visited.  She enjoyed live music, going to concerts and loved animals; especially dogs and cats.  Family was the most important thing in life to Linda.  She cherished time spent with her sisters and grandchildren.  Linda will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

All are welcome to join Linda’s family at her viewing on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:15 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant Patti Vogl officiating.  Cremation will be private.
